Season Proper 2023/2024
By Chris Filer (04/09/2023)

Congratulations to our winter cricketers on finishing runners up to a well deserving Oakleigh Cricket Club in the 2023 Mid-Year Cricket Association (MYCA) Grand Final. Playing winter cricket can be extremely difficult as we're without a proper home ground, typical play on some average away grounds and the weather is never kind BUT this is hardly news to those who tough out each winter!

As mentioned during the registration process for winter cricket, the national registration fee imposed by Cricket Australia must be paid via PlayHQ at the time of registration and unfortunately, this cannot be waived. This fee was previously paid by the club annually and incorporated into member subscription fees. If you registered for winter cricket and subsequently paid the national registration fee, you will not be required to pay the fee again for the summer season.

From this season, all junior and senior registrations and subscription fees must be processed via PlayHQ. We understand this is a whole new way, especially for some senior players, for registering and paying but its something the club should've adopted years ago and due to the change from MyCricket to PlayHQ, we now have no choice. Please don't let this intimidate you as the whole process is very easy, just click the club logo below, choose your level of membership and follow the prompts.

Subscription fees for season 2023/2024 are as follows (if paid before 30/11/2023):

Senior Mens $360.00
Senior Mens Student $300.00

Senior Mens Life Member $300.00

Senior Women $180.00

Junior Boys U15/17 $235.00

Junior Boys U11/13 $195.00

Junior Girls $190.00

Junior Blasters $90.00

Please note, the above fees do not include the national registration fee charged by PlayHQ and Cricket Australia.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for your patience as we slowly organise ourselves on PlayHQ. As with any transition to a new system there are a few teething issues and a steep learning curve for the administrators of the club. Regardless, we believe we are now set up and ready to go for Winter Cricket in 2023 with Mid-Year Cricket Association (MYCA).

Please note, the national registration fee imposed by Cricket Australia must be paid via PlayHQ at the time of registration and unfortunately, this cannot be waived. This fee was previously paid by the club annually and incorporated into member subscription fees.

As per previous seasons, the club subscription fee will be pay as you play and we are pleased to confirm there is no increase to this fee for 2023, with the fee remaining at $15 per game. To register, please click the club logo below, create an account and follow the prompts.

UPDATE: As the season
as the winter season has concluded, registrations have closed for our MYCA side. If you are interested in the summer season, please scroll up to the most recent news article.

On the 31st of March 2023, we held our annual presentation night, this year at the Mulgrave Country Club and to close the evening, Michael MacDonald made a special presentation, announcing Steve Ker as our 50th life member. Steve started his career at GWCC in 2002 and has since played 211 games across 21 seasons. Here are some worth while statistics
