This weekend, Derek Brett pulls on the GWCC colours for the 400th time — an incredible achievement and one reached by only nine players in club history.

Since debuting in 1991 at age 35, Derek has built a career few can match:

🏏 10,000+ runs – just the 3rd player ever at GWCC

🏆 2× premiership player, including 94/95 as captain

🧤 111 fielding assists – top 20 all-time

🎯 168 wickets – top 50 in club history

🎖️ Life Member (2006/07)

2025/2026 Season

NEWS

In the 2024/2025 we entered 6 senior sides including 10 junior sides from U11's to U18's as well as running a Woolworths Junior Blasters Program (Age 5-8). Our longstanding All Girls Program continued to be a success for Girls aged from 9yo-17yo.

In season 2025/2026 we hope to replicate our efforts of the previous season and continue to provide everyone with the opportunity to play cricket. Our senior sides will continue to play on Saturdays and Sundays, and our junior sides play almost every day of the week ensuring everyone has the opportunity.

We adopt and maintain the Cricket Australia Child Protection Policies to ensure all families are welcome, included and respected at our club. Our Child Safety Officer for this season is Jeremy Mekhael who can be contacted on 0404 219 007 for any child safety concerns.
